Skyblock Season 2 Summarized Changelog (Full One will be published on Wiki later on):
Removed Stacked Entities, Spawners, and Dropped Items. Item Barrels are still implemented.
Hopper, Spawner, Piston, Sticky Piston, Observer, Spawner Minecart and Hopper Minecart placement disabled entirely in the Nether/End. More blocks may follow.
Skyblock Rules have been rewritten for clarity. One Key Rule Change: Staff are no longer obligated to provide support for Nether/End griefing. Build there at your own risk. We also improved the format/design of /rules to be clickable.
The Shops and most GUIs have been redesigned with RGB and to better align with Cultivate's menu design principles.
Extensive customization of Skyblock/Island related messaging.
Island Upgrade system entirely rewritten. Menu now has dynamic updates for Island Upgrades.
Island Preview Warp has been added. You can see what all islands look like here.
Spawn has been rebuilt. Has custom images for navigation, and has been simplified to be easier to use.
Redesigned /help to be chat based, and discontinued the Cultivate Help Wizard. This is still a WIP along with all Skyblock documentation.
Added in 5 new Donor Islands for Season 2. Nether, End, Farm, Fantasy, and Sea themed. Required Donor Ranks: Revered-Sacred, Benefactor.
Materials Section in /shop has been removed. Buy prices on all items reduced by 25%, Sell prices reduced by 10% on all items.
Introduced the +150 Point Block. It is an End Portal Frame that is worth 150 Island Level Points.
Mob Coins are now just called "Coins". Chances for Coins on Mob Kills have been redone. Introduced small chance of earning a coin when farming a crop (.4%).
Added items which can increase the chance of getting coins.
Rewrote the Mob Coin Shop. There are now 14 rewards which range from 4,000-350,000 Mob Coins. In game: /coinshop. Also rewrote the Mob Coin Crate.
Added custom map image parser to load images more efficiently. Reduced latency when joining Spawn because of this change.
Rewrote the Questing system. There are now 110 quests that are live with 50 more that will be released with the first Content Update.
Overhauled the Voting System for SB. Regular Rewards: $1,500, 1 Network Point, and 1 Random Vote Reward.
Created the Random Vote Reward. An item that when right clicked, will give you a random valuable item stack for voting.
Introduced /voterewards. This is a Voting Rewards ladder which will give you free, extra reward for voting. Goes from 1-450 votes.
Other members of an Island can now change Island Settings for an Island (only settings on /is settings). Look at /is settings -> "Command Ranks" for more info.
Barrel Names are now different based on the material inside of them.
Rewrote the Island Border system. The Island Border is now non-toggleable, and has 3 different colors which are available to Champion+ members. The Border is per-player.
Chainmail armor is now Salvage-able for Iron Ingots.
Leveling system has been completely remade. There are 30 Levels, and each level has 3 requirements. Money, Island Level, and a Goal. Goals are basic tasks within Minecraft such as "Break 1000 blocks". Also improved levelup messages and added RGB.
Changed wording/commands for Ranks to be called Levels now. Levels are in-game levels. Ranks are referring to Donor Ranks.
Introduced the Mob Egg. Already in Survival, this item is used to transport Mobs to a different location. Right Click with it to throw it at a Mob, and then right click with it again to respawn the Mob. They keep identical traits when spawned.
Redid the Ore Generator to now have 30 levels instead of 6. This will have more fluid progression instead of stunted growth of the generator. Should feel a bit better to use over time.
Entity and Block Limits have been re-examined. Villagers, Armor Stands, Observers, and Zombie Villagers now have limits. Villagers Limits are now an early game Island Upgrade. Entity Limits are regularly checked and if over the amount is found, the entities are removed.
Starting Island Size for regular users has been changed to 50x50.
Chunk Hoppers will no longer capture Cactus. Cactus sell price buffed 15%
Redid MCMMO Fishing Treasures. They will now give some more useful items.
Implemented a completely new/unique fishing system. There is a lot to learn here and sadly full documentation will be coming later.
Implemented fishing tournaments which activate on an interval every few hours. The winners get small monetary prizes for participating, and to win you must catch the most fish in 7 minutes.
When you break a Spawner with a Silk Touch pick in the Nether, it will only return a Spawner 30% of the time. This is to reduce massive Nether Spawner grinding/farming.
Changing Island Biome will now cost 35,000, and the Biome Selection has changed to align with the fishing system. (Custom Fish can be caught in specific biomes).
Nether Warp removed. You now need to make a portal to go into the Nether.
Added the Armor Stand Editing tool for Legendary/Benefactors! This allows you to manipulate Armor Stands to be in many different positions/poses.
Traveling/Teleport commands are now not usable when falling. This was a long-standing bug and was never an intended game feature.
Removed the ability to bottle XP. This was too overpowered.
MCMMO XP rewards have been doubled across the board to buff the effectiveness of them without using the Survival system.
Added the Random Enchantment Reward and MAX Random Enchantment Reward. These items will issue a random enchantment book on redeem. The max version issues max level books.
Added the Spanwer Shard and Key Shard, along with their respective Item Buildables. 4 Spawner Shards can be exchanged for a Pig Spawner, and 6 Key Shards can be exchanged for Random Crate Keys.
Rewrote most of the crates and tried to buff them where applicable. Spawner/Spawn Egg Crates did mainly remain unchanged. Season 2 Crate is much better than Season 1.
Largely nerfed price of Spawners to be reasonable.
Rewrote Donor Ranks to be a bit more balanced and fair. The Max Island Size from this change is now 5, down from 8.
Donor Kits, the Point Shop and other small features did not make it in for this launch. They will be available as soon as possible.
...There are probably more changes but this is a good summation of what we did. Thank you for reading and best of luck on Skyblock 2!
