Cultivate's Online Store is located at: https://cultivate.buycraft.net/ On the server's store, you are able to donate in exchange for a variety of virtual items which offer a wide range of purposes. Not only are you able to donate for cosmetic-based items, you are also able to donate for items which may enhance or add some convenience to your experience on Cultivate, including Donor Ranks and Crate Keys.
Navigate to the Webstore in a supported web browser.
Towards the center of the screen, you will see a button that says "Guest". Click this and enter your username on the following screen, and hit "Continue". After doing so, you will be returned to the home page of the store.
On the left hand side of the screen, choose the server type that you are donating for, or Global. Global has rewards which apply to all servers. The other options are Survival, and Skyblock.
A drop-down menu will appear under your selection, with different categories relating to the server you chose. You are able to travel around the store by clicking the different categories.
To learn more about a selection, click "Buy". This will show information about the option that you clicked. In this pop-up, you have a few options. Clicking the small X in the top right hand side of the pop-up will close it out. Clicking "Add to cart", will add the item to your cart. Clicking "Gift this package", will allow you to get this item for another user. Check out "Gifting Packages" below for more info.
Once the item has been added to your cart, you may have to select some options to make sure you receive the right item, in the right place. Select all of the appropriate options related to the item, and then click "Continue".
You can repeat steps 3-5 if you would like to add more items from different categories to your cart. If not, you can now checkout. You can do this by clicking "View your cart" which will be on the left hand side of the screen. Your cart will appear in a preview window. If it is correct, you can click "Checkout".
If you do not need to change the quantity of any item, you can skip this step. If you'd like to add more of an item, you can change the amount from "1" to whatever quantity, and then clicking the "Refresh Wheel". It is a circular icon with two arrows. The quantity is located at the top of the Checkout page, on the right hand side of the page.
If you do not need to apply a coupon, you can skip this step. If you'd like to add a coupon, type or paste in the coupon into the text box located underneath the "Redeem coupons or Gift cards" section, and then click "Redeem".
Next, select a payment method you would like to use, and fill out the Billing Details.
Lastly, make sure to review and accept the terms and conditions of the online store. You can do this by clicking the boxes under the "Privacy Statement" and "Purchase" sections. Even if you do not read them, you automatically agree to them when making any donation. Please review them!

Here are a few of the main reasons why Cultivate collects donations:
Cultivate is extremely expensive to operate. Donations help allocate time for new content creation and cover all existing/unforeseen costs for the server.
Accepting donations helps up increase the amount of options we can offer to users, in the form of exclusive cosmetics, items, and abilities.
Our decision making is independent from changes in revenue due to our overall long-term stability which has been achieved by this donation system.
There is a level of convenience added for users when they buy certain things off of the online store, and this is a painfully obvious fact. There is no masking this in any capacity. However, there are a few things about our store / game design which alleviate some of the annoyance associated with this.
Cultivate is a non-competitive server by design. Users are not competing for, or winning anything. Competition in any capacity is facetious. It is a casual experience and is not supposed to be about "being the best", AT ALL.
Donor Items do not negatively effect other users. These donation based bonuses do not hinder the experience of anyone else on the server.
Donor Items are not exclusive to donors. They can be earned for free by users who put time into the server.
Cultivate is not trying to exploit people in exchange for profits. Users need to be 18 years old or have a guardian's permission to donate for something on our store. Cultivate makes a good faith effort in providing options to F2P users, and does not paywall things with excessive pricing or manipulative tactics.
A majority of Minecraft servers operate under these standards, and many AAA titles operate under a similar model. While this does not defend anything, it's just a fact that many people fail to consider. Trying to change industry standards / behavior by attacking a small Minecraft server is going to achieve absolutely nothing. There are much more successful servers and games who do much, much more nefarious things than Cultivate. It's simply not worth the effort.
Mojang's Commercial Usage Guidelines were changed in April 2020 to allow non-competitive servers to sell entitlements to users. Cultivate's current adherence to these guidelines is borderline. There are a number of built in "leaderboards" from extremely popular plugins which may need to be manually removed if Mojang's enforcement of the Commercial Guidelines accelerates in the future. The current Commercial Usage Guidelines can be reviewed here: https://account.mojang.com/terms#commercial
